Surreal art-house erotic comedy about a father and son who accumulate a harem of 8 ½ women after seeing Federico Fellini's classic film 8 ½. If it's a Greenaway film then you can count on one thing - lots of male nudity. This is no exception. The young Matthew and the elder John both have several scenes where they show off their assets and family jewels. Neither is particularly beautiful, but Matthew does have a quirky quality. There's one scene where the father and son compare their nude bodies in front of a mirror. Later, the father strips naked at a funeral, and we have just one thing to say to the bushy John Standing - "Sir, you need to trim that!" Apparently not o big on the manscaping that one.
